Split Technology Park invites everyone interested to a free meetup entitled “3D Printing in Mechanical Engineering”, to be held on Thursday, 14 May 2026 at 16:00 at the Fantasy café bar at Split Technology Park.
The lecture will be given by Josip Varkaš, who will introduce participants to the application of 3D printing in mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on understanding how printed parts behave under real operating conditions. Through an overview of the process, from modelling and preparation to the production of functional parts, particular focus will be placed on concrete practical examples, choosing the right approach depending on the requirements, and the limitations that become apparent under load, at high temperature or when fitting parts into existing assemblies.
Participants will also gain insight into the mindset behind designing for 3D printing, as well as the most common mistakes made when producing functional parts.
Participation is free of charge, and places are limited. Registration is required via this link.
