Georgia Southern University Students Visit Split Technology Park

On 17 December, Split Technology Park had the opportunity to host 24 students from the Parker College of Business, Georgia Southern University, who, as part of a ten-day stay in Croatia, are getting to know the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, innovative startups and the process of developing their products.

During the visit, the students took part in a series of activities that gave them a closer look at the day-to-day life and work of the startups and tenants of the technology park. They began the visit in the Technology Park’s 3D lab, where they learned more about 3D printing and modelling technologies and saw examples of practical applications in product development and prototyping.

After that, Tea Radica from MetaBelly gave a presentation of the company’s products, in which the students learned about the entire development process, from the idea, through fundraising, to experience in developing spin-off projects. Josip Volarević also presented his startup, introducing the students to the world of Web3 technologies, Solana infrastructure and crowdfunding, and explaining how new technologies and decentralised financing models are used in modern business. The students also visited Jedsy, one of the Technology Park’s new tenants, which hosted them in its office and showed how medical drones are used in practical processes, including a demonstration of their use. The final visit was to Reeinvent, which gave the students a brief presentation of its business and an insight into the company’s operational processes.

Through these visits, the students gained valuable knowledge about startup and business development and will also use the results of their field research in their academic work.
