On 29 July 2025, starting at 12:50, Split Technology Park will host a lecture by the Mayor of the South Korean city of Sejong, Mr Mingho Choi.
Mr Choi will share experiences from the development of one of the most advanced smart cities in the world – Sejong, which was purpose-built in 2012 to relieve pressure on the capital, Seoul, but quickly became a model for what we call a Smart City – a city that uses technology to improve its citizens’ quality of life. Smart City solutions have been applied in the fields of digital infrastructure, transport, environmental protection, public administration and healthcare.
The lecture is intended for everyone interested in urban development, innovation and the application of smart technologies. It offers an opportunity to learn about concrete practices and to gain inspiration for local projects and initiatives.
In April this year, representatives of Split Development Agency – RaST and the City of Split visited Sejong, and on that occasion a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Sejong Technopark and RaST. The aim of the cooperation is to exchange knowledge and develop new Split Technology Park programmes, with an emphasis on strengthening support for startups and SMEs.
Attendance at the lecture is free of charge, and registration via this link is mandatory.
