Split Technology Park at Communication Days 2026: Trends and Ideas Shaping the Future of Communication

Once again this year, Split Technology Park took part in Communication Days 2026 (Dani komunikacija), one of the most important regional festivals dedicated to communications, marketing, creativity and digital trends, held in Rovinj.

This year’s edition brought together numerous Croatian and international experts from marketing, media, technology and the creative industries, and through lectures, panels and talks the programme addressed topics that are strongly shaping the communications industry, from developments in artificial intelligence and changes in digital marketing to the importance of authenticity, quality content and understanding audiences.

The speakers included some of the best-known global and regional names in technology and communications, such as Jürgen Schmidhuber, Neil Patel, Chris Do and Mate Rimac, who shared their experiences of developing technology, brands and communication in a time of rapid change through their lectures and conversations.

A particular focus of this year’s festival was the impact of artificial intelligence on marketing and content creation, changes in the way audiences consume information, and the importance of authentic and strategically considered communication in the digital environment.

The festival also featured the panel “Did the Media Lose Interest – or Did We Lose the Story?”, organised by Split Tech City, which opened a conversation about the relationship between the media and the communications industry and the challenges of capturing audience attention in an age of information overload. From the perspective of journalists, communicators and representatives of the local tech ecosystem, the panel raised questions about what makes a story relevant today and how quality storytelling can contribute to the visibility of local initiatives and communities.

For Split Technology Park, taking part in Communication Days is an opportunity to follow current trends, share experiences and connect with the communications, technology and entrepreneurial communities. The insights and experience gained will further contribute to the development of communication activities, programmes and events aimed at strengthening the local innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurial community.

Entrepreneurship Café Held on “The New Workforce in the Age of AI”

Organised by Split Technology Park and Split Technology Park tenant UHY savjetovanje, an Entrepreneurship Café was held yesterday at the Quantum café bar, this time dedicated to the topical issue of the impact of artificial intelligence on the labour market and business processes.

The panel discussion brought together experts from HR, technology and business: Mila Perković (UHY), Iva Botunac (CroAI), Joško Šugar (OTP banka) and Mateo Perak (Profico), and the discussion was moderated by Krešimir Budiša (UHY).

In a constructive dialogue with the panellists, participants raised a number of important questions, from the potential automation of office work and the concrete benefits and challenges of using AI in everyday work, to the key competences employees need to develop in order to remain competitive in a rapidly changing environment.

Emphasis was placed on the need for continuous learning and adaptation, as well as on the responsible use of a fast-growing technology that is already having a significant impact on everyday tasks and values.

The Entrepreneurship Café once again proved to be an excellent platform for sharing knowledge, experience and ideas within the community.

We thank all panellists and participants for their contribution and look forward to future gatherings.

Technology Park Library Opens at Split Technology Park

A new, 13th branch of the Marko Marulić City Library Split – the Technology Park Library – has opened at Split Technology Park, a contemporary space that further enriches the facilities available to the park’s tenants and the wider community.

The opening took place on 4 May, as part of the programme celebrating the Feast of St Domnius, with representatives of the City of Split, Split Technology Park and the library in attendance. The library was officially opened by Deputy Mayor of the City of Split Matea Dorčić, Director of the Technology Park Goran Batinić and Library Director Grozdana Ribičić.

The new branch is located on the third and fourth floors of the dynamic environment of Split Technology Park, which brings together entrepreneurs, startups, individuals and the scientific community, so the library naturally becomes a meeting point for knowledge, innovation and everyday work. The space has been designed as an open and stimulating environment: a place for learning, work, collaboration and taking a break. In addition to the library collection, users have access to digital tools as well as educational programmes and cultural events, with an emphasis on technology, innovation and sustainability.

The Technology Park Library is conceived as a hybrid space that goes beyond the traditional role of a library. In addition to access to books and information, it offers a platform for exchanging ideas, meeting people and developing new initiatives. Particular emphasis is placed on developing content related to technology and ecology, including workshops and programmes that encourage sustainable thinking and the application of innovation in everyday work and business.

The opening programme was further enriched by a range of activities. Architects Dinko Peračić and Miranda Veljačić presented the interior design concept, while the Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Zagreb, Helge Klouman Marstrander, presented a donation of books by Norwegian authors. The opening also featured the “eKultura” exhibition of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, which presents cultural heritage in a contemporary way through 3D-digitised museum objects and augmented reality (AR).

With the opening of the Library, Split Technology Park further establishes itself as a space that offers not only business infrastructure but also facilities that foster community development, knowledge exchange and connections between different sectors. The Technology Park Library is not just a new facility, but a logical step in the development of Split Technology Park as an open platform for innovation, learning and collaboration.
