Split Technology Park at Communication Days: More than a space – the architecture of community

At this year’s edition of Communication Days (Dani komunikacija), held in Rovinj from 15 to 18 May 2025, Split Technology Park took part in the inspiring panel “More than a space – the architecture of community”, which discussed the invisible architecture of communities – one that goes beyond physical spaces and is built on values and shared goals.

Lana Žuvela, Head of Communications at Split Development Agency – RaST, spoke about the Split Technology Park community and its impact on the local area, alongside fellow panellists Toni Trivković, founder and president of the Split Tech City association, Bela Ikotić, Secretary General of the Osijek Software City association, and Luka Šipić, owner of the PR agency Vrh komunikacije. The panel was moderated by Pinija Poljaković.

We introduced the audience to the process of building Split Technology Park, as well as building a community of active and innovative tenants, since we share a common goal – the success and growth of the entrepreneurs who are part of the community. We are proud that Split Technology Park has been recognised as an example of how space, vision and connection create the conditions for the development of an entire ecosystem, leaving a strong impact on the local community.

Second speed date mentoring held for startups

On 14 May 2025, Split Technology Park hosted the second speed date mentoring session for startups taking part in the Split Technology Park INVENTO accelerator. Speed date mentoring gives startups the opportunity to receive valuable advice from experienced mentors from a range of industries in short one-to-one sessions.

Seven mentors took part in the second speed date mentoring session: Cilka Lopac (Geoimage Services), Katerina Lazari (FindYourCoach), Max Lipanov (TH GLobal Capital), Flor Nieto (The Inmediato), Michael Freer (Ensoco), Antonio Šerić (Split Tech City) and financial adviser Mira Krneta.

The entrepreneurs were able to ask questions and receive clear advice for the further development of their ideas. Thanks to the fast-paced, dynamic format, valuable insights can be gained and new business contacts established, so this approach to mentoring has proven to be an effective way of improving startups’ strategies and business models.

New success for our tenants: Workspace launches Serwizz, an innovative AI platform for digitalising service processes

Our startup from the Split Technology Park incubator, Workspace, has launched its new innovative product Serwizz – a comprehensive SaaS platform for the digitalisation and automation of service processes. Workspace developed the new digital product as part of the INVENTO acceleration programme for start-up entrepreneurs, which TPS runs in cooperation with Invento Capital Partners as part of HAMAG-BICRO’s “Strengthening Acceleration Activities” project.

In a world where more than 75% of companies across various industries still use paper, spreadsheets and disconnected systems to manage work, Serwizz comes as a solution that eliminates delays, errors and unnecessary administration, bringing complete digital transformation to service processes.

Serwizz is a platform that brings teams, tasks, clients and equipment together in a single system and provides support for:

  • digital work orders
  • preventive maintenance
  • a ticketing system
  • checklists
  • management of tasks, resources, assets and facilities
  • working hours tracking
  • advanced analytics and customisable workflows
  • AI support

Developed at Split Technology Park, the product is already delivering concrete results in industry, particularly in the nautical sector – it is used in shipyards, charter agencies and by boat maintenance service providers. The experience and know-how of the Workspace team have been turned into a solution that not only digitalises business but also helps achieve sustainability goals by reducing paper documentation. “We knew the market needed a simple yet complete solution that fits into existing processes. That’s why we created Serwizz – a platform that eliminates unnecessary paperwork, reduces errors and increases operational efficiency, saving you time and money”, says Ivan Lovrić, co-founder of Serwizz.

What sets Serwizz apart from the competition is its flexibility and ability to integrate into existing workflows, without the need to change them.

At Split Technology Park, we are proud that products changing the way business is done in the IT industry are being created in our space and with our support.

The system currently has 67 stations across the city, with two more planned in the newly redeveloped Žnjan area, and the total number of registered users is almost 95,000. Since the system began operating in 2019, more than 1,300,000 rentals have been recorded, and users have cycled a total of 6,056,558 km. Cooperation agreed with Sejong Technopark in South Korea

From 13 to 18 April, representatives of Split Development Agency – RaST and the City of Split, in a visit organised by the Korea Development Institute (KDI), stayed in the Republic of Korea as part of an international knowledge-sharing programme that will enhance the existing management capacity of Split Technology Park with the aim of providing high-quality services to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

The aim of the visit was to present the preliminary results of joint research under the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) with Croatia, to strengthen the capacity of Croatian institutions through visits to Korean organisations, and to encourage cooperation between SME support institutions in Croatia and Korea. Particular emphasis was placed on formalising the cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Sejong Technopark and Split Development Agency – RaST.

The delegation visited several cities – Incheon, Seoul, Sejong and Daejeon – where meetings were held with relevant institutions. In Incheon, they visited Startup Park and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, where they were introduced to the support models Korean institutions offer entrepreneurs. In Seoul, they visited Seoul Startup Hub, the association of Korean technoparks, and TIPS Town. On that occasion, Korean experts also presented an interim report on research into the business models of Korean technoparks, including a comparison with Croatian practice. In Sejong, particular attention was given to visits to the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development and to Sejong Technopark, where the Cooperation Agreement was signed. The programme concluded in Daejeon with a visit to the startup institute at the prestigious KAIST (Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).

The experience gained and the networking during the visit will serve as a basis for improving existing and developing new Split Technology Park programmes, with the aim of providing even better support to startups and SMEs. This partnership further strengthens cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Croatia in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship and knowledge exchange.
