Our tenant KANCELARIJA takes part in the “Tax Awareness Month” programme

The Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism in Split, in cooperation with KANCELARIJA d.o.o., a tenant of Split Technology Park, and with the support of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Croatia and the Fiscal Policy Commission, is marking Tax Awareness Month for the first time. This initiative aims to strengthen the tax literacy of citizens and entrepreneurs through a series of public lectures, workshops and Open Days.

Tax literacy plays a key role in running a successful business, especially for entrepreneurs who deal with complex regulations and frequent regulatory changes on a daily basis. That is why part of the programme focuses specifically on practical advice and training for the business sector.

The Tax Awareness Month programme brings a series of activities aimed at strengthening tax literacy, among which we would particularly like to highlight the participation of KANCELARIJA d.o.o., whose content helps bring tax topics closer to entrepreneurs. Within this framework, Open Days for Entrepreneurs will be held on 11 December at the KANCELARIJA d.o.o. premises in Split Technology Park, with the aim of providing concrete support to everyone who wants to better understand their tax obligations, optimise their business and put questions to experts. Entrepreneurs will be able to book individual consultations with Dora Tripalo Čikeš and Zoja Stevović. The consultations will take place from 9:00 to 13:00, in short slots lasting 15 to 20 minutes per participant.

The programme offers a rich schedule of activities, and you can follow details and announcements on the social media channels of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism in Split and KANCELARIJA d.o.o.

Thank you all for your applications and interest – we will be continuing with workshops like these in 2026!

Split Technology Park at Web Summit in Lisbon

Representatives of Split Technology Park took part in Web Summit 2025, held in Lisbon from 10 to 13 November. Web Summit is one of the largest and most prestigious global gatherings in the world of technology and innovation, and this year it brought together more than 71,000 visitors from 157 countries.

Web Summit was attended by numerous companies and institutions, 2,725 startups, 1,857 investors and 869 speakers, who discussed the latest trends and innovations in technology, digital marketing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT, social media and other topics.

Taking part in Web Summit gave us the opportunity to expand our network of contacts with other entrepreneurship support institutions in Croatia and abroad, to establish new collaborations aimed at supporting the tenants (startups and SMEs) of Split Technology Park, and to learn about the latest trends in technology and innovation and from leaders in their respective industries.

Parklio smart sensors in the Split Technology Park car park

In cooperation between Split Technology Park and Parklio, one of the Technology Park’s tenants, testing has begun of Parklio smart parking sensors, which show in real time whether a parking space is occupied or free.

These are small, fully autonomous devices that are simply mounted on the surface – with no excavation, noise or interruption to the use of the car park. The sensors combine geomagnetic detection and microwave radar, achieving more than 98% accuracy regardless of weather conditions.

The housing is robust and durable, withstanding loads of more than 10 tonnes, and high-capacity lithium batteries provide up to 5 years of maintenance-free operation. During testing, a range of data is monitored – how many spaces are occupied, how many different vehicles use the same space, and when the “peak” hours are by day, week and month.

All data is collected via a LoRaWAN network and displayed in the Parklio parking management system, which enables advanced analytics and smarter space management.

Parklio is part of the Split Technology Park community, and projects like this show how cooperation with local high-tech entrepreneurs delivers real results and strengthens the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Meetup “From Functional 3D Prints to Prototype” held at Split Technology Park

On Wednesday, 5 November, a 3D Meetup dedicated to the application of 3D printing technology in product development was held at the Fantasy café bar within Split Technology Park.

The gathering began with socialising and introductions among participants, followed by a presentation by Associate Professor Vladimir Divić of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, University of Split. In his talk entitled “From Functional 3D Prints to Prototype”, Professor Divić presented the process of transforming an idea into a physical model, highlighting the importance of 3D printing as a tool for the rapid production and testing of prototypes. After the presentation, participants continued to socialise in a relaxed atmosphere, with informal conversations and an exchange of experiences in the field of 3D technologies.

We thank all participants for taking part and sharing their knowledge. We look forward to future meetings and the further development of the 3D community at Split Technology Park.

Speed date mentoring for startups held

On 5 November, Split Technology Park hosted speed date mentoring for startups taking part in the Split Technology Park INVENTO accelerator. Speed date mentoring allowed startups to receive valuable advice from experienced mentors from various industries in short one-to-one sessions.

A total of 5 mentors took part: Nikola Perić (Little Code), Stipe Režić (Mushroom Cups), Ivica Žuro (MM Beneficium Business Consulting), Branka Nesterović Haining (IBM iX DACH) and Ivana Vuka (RISE).
